My context, my trajectory in Prisma, and where I am heading.
How I got here
CATS Hackathon. I heard about the Cardano Africa Tech Summit (CATS) Hackathon as an existing member of the Cardano community and registered to take part. Through it I learned about Wada, and then Prisma.
Hub Lead. I became more interested in the concepts, methodologies, processes and patterns behind the hackathon than in the hackathon itself. I felt a genuine alignment with them, and I acted on it by registering a Hub in my bioregion with Morgan Ufoma, founder of The Project Genius Initiative: Project Genius Hub, Zaria. I am its Hub Lead.
Studio Sessions. I began attending the weekly Prisma Studio Sessions and engaging with Prisma beyond the hackathon. This gave me a wider view of the work and the ways of working, and I began contributing in the small ways I could, mostly through conversation.
Nairobi. In February 2026 I travelled to Nairobi for the Cardano Africa Tech Summit and the Hackathon Grand Finale. I met Tabs in person at the hacker house, where we talked about the Protocol. That is where the conversation started, and I expressed interest in joining the working group.
Protocol Working Group. I joined the working group and worked on the Protocol’s business model, including the economic and financial modelling behind the litepaper. This is also where the possibility of a Business Development role first came up.
CPC Research Grant. I saw a funding opportunity, applied for a research grant and was awarded it. I am delivering the project as Project Manager, taking over from Tabs from Milestone 2. Tabs led Milestone 1.
Business Development (probation, interim). The role I am moving into now.
Through these stages the scope of my contribution has widened: from ecosystem participation, to Hub stewardship, to Protocol and economic work, to external opportunity development and delivery.
Where I am now
I am moving into Business Development as a probationary, interim, commission-based role, with the immediate aim of developing a client pipeline that leads to revenue. The role and its terms are set out on that page. CPC delivery runs alongside it.
Being a Hub Lead while delivering this
Hubs operate autonomously within their own contexts, values and partnerships, so the Hub and Prisma remain distinct contexts.
Hub activity is carried out under the Hub’s own relationships, partnerships and responsibilities. Prisma work is carried out under my Prisma role and contract. Where the two intersect, I am clear about which context I am acting from, who I am representing, and where the responsibility sits.
When I begin my part in the core team, I will hand the Hub Lead role to Kamal, the current Hub Technical Lead.
Where I am heading
Three checkpoints currently frame the trajectory:
- CPC delivery.
- Business Development, interim and commission-based, until the client pipeline leads to revenue.
- A longer-term growth role, described on Ecosystem Weaving: Director of Ecosystem Strategy, Partnerships & Growth.
The trajectory is intended to develop through practice and review rather than as a fixed sequence of roles.
